The name given to me by my mother is Taylor.
In community, I am known as Mossy. In spiritual practice, I am Mātā Luna.
I am the spirit behind Mossy Moon and Woven Wisdom Birth Work—a birth and postpartum doula, Ayurvedic practitioner, body wellness worker, ceremonialist, and movement guide.
My calling to walk with women came early, and I carry deep gratitude for the dear friend who first saw the medicine woman in me—who named the sacred in me before I had the language for it. She called me into remembrance: that I am a woman’s woman, a keeper of sacred space, a voice of power, and a soul aligned with the rhythms of birth.
This work flows through me like warm honey. It rises from my bones and moves through my hands like flame. I am lit by spirit—every single time.
I fall in love over and over again with the ceremonies and rituals that surround birth, especially those carried by Indigenous women across the world. I honor them. I walk humbly, knowing that this work asks us to be students of life—always learning, listening, unlearning, and remembering.
I am, like all beings, in a constant state of becoming. I am walking the path of a traditional home birth midwife, rooted in ancestral wisdom and sacred feminine medicine. This calling—ancient and ever-evolving—guides me to serve in the threshold between worlds, where life begins and endings are honored. I walk alongside other medicine women, hands deep in the rhythms of labor, holding space from womb to earth.
My becoming began in November 2021, but my path started long before.
Before birth work, I lived in the world of emergency medicine.
I began post-college as a nationally certified EMT and volunteered as a firefighter at a rural firehouse. I worked for private ambulance companies and served in pediatric trauma care at a Level One Emergency Department. I also worked at UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Around that same time, I completed my yoga teacher training—already feeling the tension between the fast-paced world of emergency medicine and my growing pull toward holistic, alternative care.
I later earned my nursing degree and worked as a nurse in an integrative clinic, where I began blending the clinical with the sacred. But even then, I felt the call for more. I knew I was meant to walk with women. To tend, mend, and care for their bodies, minds, and spirits. And so, I followed that knowing.
After certifying as a doula, I began walking the path that now leads me into midwifery.
My purpose is to mother the mother.
Mossy Moon was born from the earth—with strength, softness, and spirit.
Inspired by the grounding energy of Green Moss Agate and the illumination of Moonstone, this work channels the essence of new beginnings, deep confidence, and nurturing support through the seasons of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My birth work is not just physical—it is spiritual. It is sacred. Through prenatal yoga, warm Abhyanga oil massage, belly binding, and intentional prenatal & postpartum care, I honor each woman’s unique path.
In just a few years, Mossy Moon has grown from humble beginnings—working out of my car—into a community-rooted practice. I’ve found my rhythm in weaving ancient wisdom with modern wellness, guided by an Ayurvedic lens. With every woman I walk beside, I feel a deeper connection to who I am becoming as a birth keeper, a provider, and a sacred space holder. My roots run deep.
Woven Wisdom Birth Work is the soul of my offerings—a weaving of all the threads I carry: ancestral knowledge, traditional wisdoms, cultural rhythm, and spiritual care. It is a space where birth is honored not just as a physical event, but as a rite of passage—a portal. Through this work, I support women through the thresholds of pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and beyond, with reverence, ritual, and realness. Woven Wisdom is a remembering. A returning. A rewilding. And every birth I witness becomes part of that greater tapestry.
It is an honor to lay hands on a mother, to breathe with her through contractions, to be her voice when she cannot speak, and to celebrate with her as she finally holds her baby. There is no greater gift than being trusted to walk that threshold with her. That trust is holy.
As Mossy Moon continues to evolve, I do too. I walk this path as a forever learner, a wisdom keeper in training, a conscious human being. To pour into you, I must stay poured into. Outside of birth work, you’ll find me in the sun, in the woods, on trails, or tucked into snowy mountains. I swim in honey holes, tend to my land, to my family, and to Wesson, my sweet dachshund. I write. I host. I move. I gather with others. I dance to live music with my dad. I practice yoga with my mom. I am an auntie to my nephews & my chosen village of sisters littles—
& I am deeply, wildly grateful for it all.
Thank you for being here. Because of you, I am.
I carry deep gratitude for the community of women who surround me.
You are my sisters, my spirit guides, my anchors.
Every mother I’ve had the honor of serving has given me more strength, purpose, and reverence than words can hold. You remind me of the sacredness in sisterhood, in spirit, and in the act of mothering the mother, the village. Together, we are weaving a living web—of support, transformation, and love.
This work has made me feel whole. It continues to teach me, stretch me, and open me. I am forever a student of this path, evolving with each story, each threshold, each birth.
Motherhood is powerful. Sacred. Life-altering.
And I am here to walk beside you—to help you feel seen, held, and supported in every step.
With deep love, devotion, and awe—
I look forward to continuing this journey with you.
